Frequently Asked Questions
To make shipping easier for everyone, Lore & Fare includes shipping in the total prices of your boxes for customers located in the United States.
(Don't worry, your sales tax is based on the box, and not shipping.)
Getting you your items quickly and safely is our top priority. We do our best to estimate your shipping time after handling, but we can't guarantee mishaps won't happen by the shipping company or Mother Nature's fickleness (floods, etc).
Generally, unless otherwise communicated, we have a 1-3 day Handling period, and ship your boxes with a 3-7 day time period.
Faster Shipping: If you're in a hurry, we have added an additional Express Shipping option that adds on the cost of sending your box with a guarantee turn-around time via UPS or USPS.
We are currently unable to do full refunds on our gift boxes.
Here is how we can help you:
1. If the box is still complete…
….and all of the contents are undamaged and unused, at your cost you can return the box to us in original packaging to us for a refund, minus a 20% restocking fee.
Alternatively we are happy to offer you a 50% credit to our store for something else you may like more*, once you donate your box to a local non profit (with donation receipt) – such as your children' s school, for example.
2. If something happens during shipping and items break in your box, our first priority is to resend you the item or whole box, as necessary, to make up for the mishap. You can submit THIS FORM within 24 hours of delivery, along with photos, and we will immediately send you an appropriate replacement.
*Terms: Limited to 2 times per year no more than once a quarter.
Every item and box at Lore & Fare is lovingly curated by Owner, Lisa Wichael-Loomis. Working directly with local Central Coast farms and makers, building relationships is at the heart of what Lisa does. Ensuring quality, and working to expand the reach of these small farm and maker brands, Lisa visits every farm and property. The team at Lore & Fare tries every product, and we choose to share them because we love them!
